Tour & Taste 2012
All proceeds from Tour & Taste 2012 will go directly to VAN’s clients.
Tour:
There will be three options for the Tour & Taste bike ride. Riders will choose a 15-mile, 25-mile, or 50-mile ride. Each ride will start and finish at CrossKeys Vineyard. The 50-mile ride will begin at 8:00am. The 25-mile ride will begin at 9:00am. The 15-mile ride will begin at 10:00am. A mechanic from SBC will be available throughout the event.
Taste:
Participants will enjoy a wine tasting at CrossKeys Vineyard, featuring a selection of red and white wines.
Tickets:
For those who would like to participate in the bike ride and wine tasting, tickets will start at $45. If participants choose the bike ride only or the wine tasting only, tickets will start at $35. All prices will increase by $5 beginning on August 1st, 2012. For persons under the age of 16 the ticket price is $10. All prices include food and entertainment. Only riders will receive a t-shirt. At registration on the day of the event, participants will receive a wristband based on which ticket option they have chosen. Wristbands will be colored and numbered, and will include name and an emergency contact number.
Food:
A buffet lunch will be served to all participants, catered by Scrumptious Suppers. This will consist of gourmet sandwiches, a watermelon cucumber salad, and tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa. Sweet tea and cucumber water will also be provided as refreshments.
Entertainment:
Live music performed by The Judy Chops, a local favorite. Touring the Harrisonburg/Staunton/Charlottesville area, The Judy Chops is known for their 3 part vocal harmony, virtuoso guitar, and undeniable stage presence. Other activities include face painting and a raffle.
** T-shirts are included with riders' registration. Tasters and children can purchase T-shirts separately at the event.
